Bottle. Pours light brown with a nice head. Aroma burnt malts and some juniper. The juniper really makes an interesting taste into the product. Not Bad.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 patricks110 (916) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 19, 2011
Norwegian Woods pours a muddy amber with a ton of floating yeast sediments. A thick beige head leaves some nice lacing. The nose is smoky, earthy and fruity with a nice sweet caramel malt. The middle is quite sweet with an unusual fruity taste and an earthy, woody malt. Bitter and smokey on the finish with tons of carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 williamstome (434) - Somerville, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 7, 2011
Deep red, small white head. Aroma is smokey wood, roasted malt and some fruit. Awesome. Flavor... same but more intense! Smokey! berries! Sweet, tart, smokey, man, awesome. Smooth.

Draught at Churchkey. Cloudy brown pour. Nose holds great beechwood smoke presence, but not so aggressive as something like the Schlenkerlas. The flavor lets more of the nuance shine through, with good toasted malt, sweetness, and nut providing great balance to the smoke. Very nice.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Marheb (674) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 28, 2011
Excellente surprise, nez emboucané comme une porter mais on a une bière semblable à une IPA, orange trouble avec un bon collet. Au goût c’est parfaitement équilibré avec la fûmée et les petits fruits. Originale et très agréable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Chudwick (563) - Taylor Mill (KY), FRANCE - NOV 22, 2011
16.9OZ bottle (batch #148) in a half-liter mug - pours misty dark amber with fraothy beige head. Nose is smoked malts. Aroma is roasted malts with a little hops that provides a very dry finish and a fruity something. Lips are sweet, but palate is bitter. Medium to long smoky finish. Full body. Texture is sticky. I feel like my lips are getting chapped from the dryness. Aftertaste is dominated by the barley. Interesting brew, but not my style.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 Maris (546) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - NOV 14, 2011
From a 500ml bottle on 15/11/2011 (batch 327, brewed on 19/1/2011, use by 19/1/2012). Pours a murky amber with lots of yeast sediment, with a ridiculously big thick head which dissipates entirely over time. Has a quite earthy, woody, smoky, fruity aroma. Flavour wise, you get quite a bit of sweet fruitiness, particularly berries (I assume juniper berries), which is set off against a dash of smoky bitterness. A very interesting brew which is let down a little by being over carbonated.
