COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Odins Tipple was meant to be a strong beer, but we changed our minds...its still strong but we wont follow the mega strong trend. It should be possible to make great beer without the extreme alcohol potency. Odins Tipple is now approx 11% abv, it’s a dark almost black beer from lots and lots of chocolate malt. Its the malt that contributes the flavor...no added coffee or anything else, Its got a great body without being old engine oil and still very drinkable due to the wild yeast we use. This beer is made with a single strain of wild yeast and the recipe is dead simple.

My favorite beer from this stand @BBF 2010! The stout - chocolate, coffee, slight roast/burn and alcohol. It’s all here. Nice brew!

Pours thick and black, burnt molasses, creamy tan head that disappeared very quickly. This beer attacks the senses, strong chocolate, coffee, wheat and citrus with a slightly ashy, smokey aroma. Thick sweet and chewy. Doughy, wheaty thickness, with lots of milk chocolate and toffee sweetness and citrus tang. Grassy herbal hops and burnt malts give a great bitterness to balance. Burnt toast and cacao finish the beer to balance out the sweet alcoholic malts. Finishes thick and ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Kind of beer I just want to like. It is a precious delicacy. Prunes, plums and dark stuff, slight bit of chocolate and coffee. Right amount of CO2 for this type of beer. More chocolate in the taste than in the aroma. Very sweet aroma. Basically no head after leaving it for a minute. Thick, light brown head when pouring it slightly hard. Basically no hops. Sugar in taste, but not too much. Some alcohol for sure, but not in a bad way. Overall a very good beer, probably would be interesting to cellar a few. But there might be some complexity missing for the really top grade.

Bottle. Pours black with a small but very dark brown head. Aroma is of dark to burnt roasted malts, thick dark chocolate, a touch smoky, a boozy brandy kind of thing going on as well. Flavour is dark roast malts, caramel, chocolate, fruity, a tart fruitiness that has a port-like quality. The body is full and oily, quite an alcoholic finish but who gives a shit, it works. I daresay Odin wouldn’t object to a couple of bottles of this sloshing around in his horn.

Barwa: czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Piana brązowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, niezbyt obfita, szybko opadająca i pozostająca jedynie wokół ścianek Całość gęsta i oleista. [4,5/5] Aromat: cukierki czekoladowe z alkoholem, czekolada, kakao, nieco owocowe. [4,5/5] Smak: pełny, słodowy, umiarkowanie słodki i nieco kwaskowy. Następnie wyraźna czekolada i kakao ze zdecydowanym alkoholowym (mocno rozgrzewającym) finiszem. Bodaj najmocniejsze piwo w ofercie HaandBryggeriet. Jest to imperialny stout określany trunkiem nordyckiego boga Odyna. Czarne, jak smoła, gęste i oleiste. Bardziej niż konkretne. Kwintesencja stylu.
