4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 omhper (17472) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 3, 2011
Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Opaque black, minimal head. Vast aroma of Baileys and brandy. Malty with lots of chocolate, sweet licorice and Mars bar. Full bodied with oily mouthfeel. Potent but edgeless. Intensely warming without being boozy at all. Haandbryggeriet has certainly progressed in my eyes lately. In my point of view their early beers were eye-catching but superficial. As of lately they are real stunners, combining depth and and attractive surface.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - JUL 8, 2011
Bottle at Plan B, courtesy of André Dark color, balck, with a medium sized brownish head. Deep aroma of roasted malts, already the liquorice can be noticed. Strong body, with a round mouthfeel and an evident alcohol perception; powerful chocolate flavor, roasted malts, and a good share of liquorice; quite sweet too. Good, but not the right balance and vibe for me.
