Solid brew! The pour was rather difficult, foam, foam, foam! It was almost as if as soon as oxygen hit the beer, it would burst into foam. After letting it settle for a bit, it was fantastic! Nice head retention, smoked cherry flavor, very smooth drinking brew. Would drink again.

Opaque black beer. Short lived chocolate coloured head. Semi dry palate. Light and mildy fruity porter. Chocolate undertone. A little carbonated bite at the end. Standard but decent.

Bottled 50cl. It pours a pitch black beer with a tall beige head. Smoky leathery nose. Beautiful dark malt profile. Delicate and deeply delicious.

Very dark brown pour with thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate, mild coffee, some fruits. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, light fruit. Light lactose. Not sure if I’m getting a sourness like the other reviews are getting, but there’s something different here. Mouthfeel is a bit chalky. Lots of carbonation. Pretty good but not knocking me over.

Dark brown, and hazy, unclear. Has a light-brown head, medium duration. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate and coffee. Roasted. Flavor is mainly sweet with a nice bitter finish. Creamy, dry texture.

Tasted on 1/2/11 from a 500mL bottle at Lush Roscoe, Batch 208. Pours a thick black with a massive tan head that slowly recedes to uneven and spotty lace. The nose is super roasted with dark chocolate, burnt molasses and brown sugar, slightly creamy, dusty, and dark espresso. The flavor is sour and fruity up front with cherries and balsamic, moving to the roasted notes of dark chocolate and bitter coffee, and it is also somewhat dusty. The body is fairly light with lively carbonation and a long roasted finish. I wonder if the sour notes are supposed to be there?

Tasting @ De Molen Warehouse. Black colored brew. Roasted malts, chocolate, mocha and some coffee in both aroma and flavor. Nice porter!

Bottle. Very dark brown – almost black, large light brown mostly lasting head. Moderate to heavy roasted malty aroma, some sweetness and oat light chocolate. Body is medium to full, roasted malt – oat with some sweetness, coffee and light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty, light sweetness and oat, roasted malt and coffee. Porter with roasted malt and oat – too much oat and too little hoppyness for me.

Nice porter with rosted barley, coffee and choklate. Fluid is half-thick and leaves a nice aftertaste.
