Hints or some coffee, and some vague dry fruit. Pretty strong example!! DrDavid (354), Johnson, Vermont, USA Sep 24, 2008 (Bottle). Aroma is very ashy, and lots of coffee. Extremely dark brown, with large brown head. Flavor is quite striking, bitter-sweet and coffee and some fruit. Has a lot of character, although the particular flavor profile was not especially to my liking. Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2008 Very dark brown. Chewy, fudgey aroma with some burnt raisins and okinawan black sugar. Very chewy, lots of burnt raisins and a fairly strong, sweet, malt background. Nicely balanced, rounded.
