Skyview (2657), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 20, 2008 Bottle #102 sampled at BDR’s tasting and another beer shared by akevitt. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber brew with a thick off-white head that quickly disappears to a fine film and ring top. Aroma of roasted dark malt, some barnyard funk, Colby cheese, and some herbal spice. Taste is slightly sour, some carbonation with flavors of sour milk, caramel malt, and some tart citrus zest. Finish is a tad flat, metallic with a mild bitterness and roasted caramel malt flavor. It’s different compared most their other beers.
