COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RÝyk Uten Ild (Smoke Without Fire) is our smoky beer, here we have tried to make a beer as smoky as we can using our smoked malt from Weiermann. We have made a fairly dark and flavourful beer. Apart from the special malt the rest of the malt bill (86%) is smoked malt. You could also say that this is a smoked wheat beer, because we have used our wheat beer yeast here. The beer is not scary but actually very nice even for those that arenít smoke beer fanatics....try it and you will see. Contains malted barley, Amarillo hops, wheat beer yeast, and lots of smoked malt from Bamberg, Germany. 8% alc, 33 ibu, 48 ebc. Serving temp 8 - 12C or 46 - 53F.

On tap at the Courthouse. Masterpiece, smokey, and very malty. Aromas of caramel, bacon, chocolate, nuts, with hints of vanilla. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Dark brown, with a frothy head.

This is smoke city in the aroma, as itís very intense and long lasting. The flavor is quite s,okay too and a bit on the chewy campfire side. Pretty drn good

Big, smooth, rich and smokey. Really liked this it was brilliant. Would need to buy another to go over again but I just remember the smooth rich and great smokey aspects that made up this beer. Great with the rib eye steak cooked on the BBQ.

Wow! The aroma of this beer cannot be adequately described. It smells from the first moment we opened the bottle like someone had unpacked a delicious smoked sausage; instantly mouth-watering and unique, layered atop the scent of good beer. Aroma: Delicious smoked sausage, and good beer. The use of the wheat ale yeast means that it carries a much lighter aroma for the beer than one would expect; but itís absolutely and by far the most delicious smelling beer Iíve ever had the pleasure of engaging. Appearance: Pours a dark cola with very thin tan head. Taste: Very, very reminiscent of Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout, with a gentle astringency and powerful earthy malt tones that fade into strong chocolate/coffee notes at the back. Sweet and delicious. The taste develops across multiple sips, opening up wonderfully. Palate: Pleasantly astringent with light carbonation, a little residual fizz and moderate astringency on the tongue and palate. Overall: This is the best smelling beer Iíve ever enjoyed. By far. I want to sit and huff this beer for hours. Taste-wise, itís an excellent stout-like taste with a little more hops than Iíd like, but it is delicious nonetheless. If youíre looking for a real pleaser and enjoy aromatic stouts/imperial stouts, this one is absolutely for you. Hats off to Haandbryggeriet!

Bottle from de Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Pours a dark brown colour with a thick light tan head. Lovely aroma of smoked malt, barley, chocolate and caramel. A nice oily mouth-feel with slick chocolate, some smoky woody notes and caramel again. Alcohol is a warming presence but doesnít overpower. Sev and I are now fans.

Pours a deep cola brown .. light foam, very light lacing .. . quite a bit of bubbles, probably the most effervescent smoked brew Iíve had .. . smoke, burnt wood, molasses, burnt molasses, and light smoked meat .. . quite a nice smoked beer, the mouth throws it off a bit but i am enjoying it! .. . .
At the end of the video I ask her, "Are you thinking this job isnít for you?"
She looks up at me and bursts into tears saying,
"I canít do it anymore!!"

pours a black with some amber around the edges, with a thick tan head. there is a lot going on in the aroma ranging from smoked pork and peat through to some nice roasted malts with some coffee and burnt toffee which is magnified in the flavour. probably the best smoked beer iíve had.

Definitely tons of smoke in this beer. You can smell the Bamburg malt. Taste it lots of smoke, smooth chocolatey malt and a nice lingering finish. Moderate bitterness. I only wish my gouda was warm enough to dip in this.
