3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thick inpenetrable black with inch of foam. Aroma is toast, leather, citrus. Taste is restrained but punchy - it’s led by the malt, really - with rich toast, espresso. Hops come through primarily in significant bitterness rather than any particular aroma. More stout than CDA. Although perfectly fresh it may be a different story. I’m still happy to drink it though!

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
50cl bottle. Batch 690 brewed 27.11.2013. Pours dark cola brown with reddish accents, thick foamy uneven light beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, citrus peel, candied fruits. Taste is roasted malts with some smoked and meaty notes, some ground coffee, faint citrus. Probably the hops are mostly gone but the beer aged quite good overall. Very pleasant mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, batch 690. Beer is black with beige, long lasting, creamy head. Very nice lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, some dried fruits, raisins, plums, only some hints of smoked malts (?). Sweet with some bitterness. texture somewhat oily. I can’t feel hops aromas, but the beer is not a very fresh one (brewed 27.11.13, bb 27.05.2015). Would never say this is black IPA, nevertheless a great beer, worth trying.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours pitch black, usual khaki head. Aroma of milk chocolate, bacon, soy, earthiness and some pine. Smells bloody good. Taste is similar, lots of roasted malts, choc milk, smokey bacon. Nice bitterness. Well balanced, not overly hoppy, smoked malts make it interesting.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
W aromacie mleczna czekolada, lekka żywiczna chmielowość i nutka słodu wędzonego torfem. W smaku wędzoność dużo silniejsza, wraz z czekoladą i umiarkowaną goryczką tworzyła zwartą, smaczną kompozycję. Pijalność średnia, bardziej degustacyjne piwo.
