Bottle. Pours reddish dark golden with small creamy lacings. Ahh, yes, the aroma is really nice. Balsamic vinegar with vinous tones, lots of fruit and wood, and some tart funky bretty notes. Velvety smooth and full body with almost no carbonation. Flavour is fruity and sour with apples and grapes, as well as vinous red wine barrel wood. Fruity and just the right amount of astringency in the finish. Mmmm…!

Cunningham (4015) - Halden, NORWAY - MAR 3, 2014
Appearance: Clear deep golden color with a white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Fruity, acidic, vinegar, mild citric and yeast.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet, and a moderate bitterness. Balanced sourness. Soft to average carbonation.
Taste: Pleasant balanced sourness, yeast, mild fruity, some citric notes, barnyard and a fine mild malty back.
Overall impression: Had this on several occasions. First time at Haand 2012. It just gets better and better. Last time at a tutored tasting at Havnelageret in Fredrikstad February 2014. Highly recomendable.
Personal stats: Bottle at Havnelageret in Fredrikstad, Norway

Buonissima!

A thick and very nice sour ale. Orange marmelade, Gooseberries, White Wine and dry oak/re wine in the aftertaste. A little sweetness mixes well with the sourness. This is a personal favourite of mine from Haandbryggeriet. Only beaten slightly by Handbryggeriet Surpomp. Has similarities with Beer Here Whining Blonde, which also is a great beer. Recommended.
