09-NOV-2012, bottle from Bunker Beer, @Ulkløbben meeting @my place. Orange with lasting off-white head. Spice and salt! Quite salty. Fruity and sour with some funk and even whiskey-like peet’y things. Malty hay, quite some body. Very nice sour.

Aroma is tart fruit, sour notes and mild sweetness. The flavor is tart fruit, very slight vegetative notes, malts, an undercurrent of sweetness and a tangy/mildly sour finish.

Borefts’12 kleur is oranje en net nie helder met een kleine witte schuimkraag, ruikt beetje zurig, beetje brett achtig, fruitig

Clear amber/reddish pour. Smallish head. Flavors of tart cherries a little red wine vinegar, light woody notes. Not the best sour but quite tasty.

A hazy light-brown with no head. The bubbles are poppy like champagne, the aroma is fruity and tart. The beginning of the flavor is on the tip of the tongue and the back of the palate. It is tart but not bitter and the flavor is fruity but not sweet. Its a fun beer with flavors that you can’t get everywhere. Enjoy.

50cl bottle from Bieropholie, served cold (initially) in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear amber with a very thin white head. Aroma: Lots of wild Brett character – barnyard funk, a little horse blanket, sour fruits – cherries mainly, some bitter green herbs, a sort of toasty malt backbone, a bit peppery and dusty, cigar ash, light wood/oak?, interesting. Palate: Medium body, prickly, fine effervescence. Flav.: A bit more spicy/peppery than the nose, a bit less funk, tart fruitiness, bitter herbs, oaky, light tobacco/ash notes, complex; dry, mildly tart and fairly bitter with a long, funky finish.

Dang, Megge. I think I like you.

500ml bottle from IPB.
Appearance : Clear amber no head at all.
Aroma : Acidic and tannic. Oak tannins, cherries, cough syrup, very lkight balsamic.
Taste : Acidic and fruity with oak tannins and cherries. Finish tannic, acidic with light vinegar. Fairly acidic. Some fruits, grapes and cherries.
Palate : Very soft borderline flat.
Overall : Not a bad sour ale. Fairly acidic and sour, nice punch. A bit straight forward. Could use a bit more carbonation. A bit too acidic and vinegary for my taste. Not bad per say but not great.

From a bottle poured an amber color with a small amount of head. Tart malty flavor with a lasting finish.
