UPDATED: AUG 20, 2014 Mørk orangebrun tåkete med lavt beige skum. Kirsebær, humle og vaniljelukt. Sur kirsebæreddik, syrlig bitter smak. Medium kullsyre, mye smak som likevel forsvinner fort, syrligheten forsvinner sist.

Misty sparkling copper red body with a fingerthick white head leaving speckled lacing. Refreshing and inviting nose rich with berries, raspberries, redcurrant and cherries. Grapefruit freshness and bitterness. Medium body and a suiting fruity and not too strong tannin astringency. Nice corn flakes tones in the finish.

Flaske 0,5l på Vertshuset Skarven. Dyprød. Veldig lavt skum. Litt uklar. God aroma av syrlig frukt med kirsebærpreg. Smaken behagelig.

Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet (Oslo). Blood orange colour, hazy. Small offwhite head that disappears fairly fast, leaving a small and scattered amount of foam. Aroma of oxidized sour cherries, vinegar, caramel, almonds. Medium body, soft/flat carbonation, quite refreshing mouthfeel. Taste is mildly sour-sweet, somewhat tart, with some associations to cookies in the finish. Not at all bad, but leaves an impression of being a not completely successful experiment.

tfredvik (1094) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 20, 2014
Pours a beautiful, clear, red to orange body with a light pink head that sticks somewhat to the glass. Strong aroma with distinct sour and funky notes without overdoing it. Barnyard and wild yeast is in the front, fermented cherries are present but they are not that obvious. The taste is light sour from start to finish, quite acidic and with some bitterness in the long-lasting aftertaste. The flavour is moderate and isn’t dominated by the cherries at all, it’s more of a fermented fruity backdrop with a cherry pit or two thrown in, and with a gentle sour funkiness in front. Also traces of leather. Crisp mouthfeel with a light body, dry texture and moderate carbonation. A nice one, but bring a bigger lorry to Svelvik the next time.
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed 21 months after brewing, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]
