2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 pivnizub (7239) - Bochum, Porúří, - JUN 23, 2007
Bottle (purchased at the brewery): cloudy, pale golden, smaller, slowly collapsing white head; sharper estery-fruity (diacetyl ? infection ?) nose with an illusion of malt and a distinctive bitter touch; moderate to strong bitter-sweet flavour with a discreet acidity in the background, light to medium bodied; hoppy-malty finish "disturbed" by a little sourness. Surely a good beer, unfortunately infected. Deserves a second chance.......
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Maria (8585) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 14, 2011
It’s unclear, yellow-golden with a lot of floating small pieces of sediment, and the ehad is huge, creamy, white and lasting. The aroma is mild with notes of citrus and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of citrus, malt, and it has a dry bitterness with hints of citrus in the finish – citrus is “German-style”.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 FatPhil (6210) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 26, 2007
Bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, German Beer Days 2007) Shared with Tranquility.
Fairly pleasant bitter aroma - citrus tones certainly. Good malty body and again plenty of sharp bitterness. The bitterness coats the roof of the mouth - a little harsh perhaps.
2.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Tranquillity (1338) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 22, 2007
Bottled, had at the German weeks at One Pint Pub in Helsinki, together with fatphil. Smells orange! Very good. Taste quite fruity, with a long finish. Hazy pale orange colour, bit white head.
