FunkyBrewster (9), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count May 11, 2008 This hefe has too little orange and coriander, and too much sugar and alcohol in the aroma. Nice cloudy orange color. Big white frothy head. The start shows a lot of promise but as I drink I feel like the deep complex hefeweizen flavor is missing. The finish is the same way. Just a little lacking. Still not a bad beer. I’d just choose a different one, like Franziskaner, if I had the choice. noid_1985 (34), Broadview, Illinois, USA May 5, 2008 12oz bottle; pours a cloudy tan color, taste of wheat, barley and perhaps some apples, very good CanIHave4Beers (100), Des Moines, Iowa, USA May 3, 2008 Smells a bit coppery, with a bit of yeast and citrus aromas. Huge white rocky head that significantly diminishes but stays tight on top of the beer throughout the glass and leaving a little lace. The beer is a hazy yellow, much like the typical hefe. Taste is a little different from the typical hefe, there is certinally some clove & spice flavors but the bananna is not really very present. This has a light but livley hop character with some citrus flavors. blankboy (2356), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a large diminishing frothy white head. Aroma and flavour of banana, citrus and more fruit, yeast, wheat and light spices. Light bitter finish. Both aroma and flavour are mild. Average bodied. Nothing amazing or anything, just a simple pleasant Hefe. KYJimBowie (1), Kentucky, USA does not count Apr 27, 2008 Smell is somthing musty that begs to be laundered. Palate is good but somewhat thick/clingy.
