4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Inhale the fumes given from the head alone and you get a fresh, hoppy wave of weirdness. The fresher the beer the better, I experienced it so. Mouthfeel is not as heavy as other doppelbocks, exceptionally drinkable. Colour is a very dark red sunset, just before dusk. Nothing sucks about this beer.

Geruch nach Rotwein und Kirschen, Angenehm nicht-süß, aber ein seltsamer Nachgeschmack am Gaumen. Vielleicht Autolyse oder Oxidation?

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 500 ml, bought in Germany. Poured into a snifter glass. ABV 8.1%
Light mahogany colour that turns to a beautiful red ruby when hold against the light on the body, clear and transparent. Nice two fingers tall, light beige head, with good retention.
On the aroma chocolate, hints of vanilla, and a very appealing smell from the alcohol that makes it smell like a good brandy when you inhale deep.
Taste follows the nose, albeit less intense, very tasty beer. Also, is this 8.1%?? I could never tell.
Medium thin body, good carbonation. Nice dryness on the palate.
Overall, a very tasty and drinkable doppelbock, really good.
