2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - APR 23, 2012
Wässrig hefiger Beginn. Im Mittelteil bleibt das Aroma weitestgehend gleich, wenig Malz, aufsteigende Bitterkeit zum Ende. 11/9/9/6//8
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2012
Tall, flip-top half litre bottle, best before 03/2012, poured into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass in Oct 2011.
Only got three quarters of the bottle into the glass, so huge was the head (and how I poured it I suppose). The body is a moody, dull, murky dishwater brown, the head as already stated was huge and creamy.
The usual Hefeweizen smells, but subdued not in your face vanilla, bananas or explosions of yeast from this beer, a gentler aroma comes out.
The taste is also subdued compared to a lot of the Hefeweizen I’ve encounted over the years. It’s fine, but lacks anything to take it above the stand out ones and is just an average brew in my eyes.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BeeriedEyed (209) - USA - APR 5, 2012
Great beer. Not had to many hefeweizens before so it’s hard to compare this beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 crossovert (2790) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 10, 2011
A very nice hefeweissbier, I prefer it over the original Hacker-Pschorr Weisse.

Part of the Great Munich Beer Raid 2010. On tap at the brewery. Pours the normal Hefe look but a little darker. Light vanilla aroma, full-bodied, some grainy lemon sourness, pretty average.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 yespr (22205) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2010
From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is fruity, estery and banana. Flavour is dry with the same estery notes. Ends dry and estery. Simple. Vague butterish note, slight milk note too!

On tap at HopCat. Appearance is a pale hue leaning towards a straw. The aromas and flavors are very bready with some malt backing and coriander notes.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jukkabro (3473) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 5, 2008
Dark yellow colored with big yellow head. Rich banana in aroma with some grains and yeast, between of normal and dunkel one. Medium bodied, crispy and safty palate. Flavor is more yeasty with stil strong banana, aftertaste is sweet still.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2008
Draught, 5.4%, at the brewpub as Hefe-Weissbier. Cloudy dark amber colour, sparkling. Stable tan head. The flavour has a little banana, quite thin. Ends on a sourish grainy note.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ogivlado (4444) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAR 26, 2008
On tap at the brewery as Hacker-Pschorr Bavaria Bräu Weizen. 5.5%ABV.
Opaque dark orange coloured, too small head for it’s style, banana and light wheaty nose. Very nice weizen, fruity (banana dominates) and yeasty with mild lemon sourness in the finish. Right choice for the beginning of my two days tour de Munich pubs.
