Bubblegum and banana but a little bit too synthetic to be a great weiss. Does not have the natural undertones but too bubble gum manufactured.

Cloudy dirty gold pour, big fluffy white head. Nice wheat aroma, some regular hefe banana and coriander spices. Bit more emphasis on the bubblegum in the taste. Body was a but thin.

Incredible banana aroma. Humongus white cloud head. Burnt gold body that has a light haze. Light banana taste. Sweet dry and refreshing.

Review sample, labeled as Hacker-Pschorr Weiss. Pours a big fluffy head in a tall glass, darker in color, a bit cloudy but more like an American wheat beer than a Hefe Weizen. Slight smell with just a little bit of fruity esters and a slightly spicy compliment from wheat malt. The taste does have a little bit of bubblegum and a slight touch of banana. Not as much spice as we know Weizen, again close to an American wheat style. The sweetness is subdued so there’s not as much need for hops to balance it. The fruit and bubble gum in the nose are not as apparent in the taste. It is a little ticket than a Hefe, or for that matter, than a typical lawn mower beer, so be seated while you enjoy. No lemon, please. Some yeast sediment at the bottom but it’s too solid to pour into your glass.

Rated from old notes. Dark gold with a banana nut taste. Slightly dry. Hints of clove and citrus. All in all a very fine weizen beer.

500ml Swing top bottle poured into a Weizen glass. Use by Jan 2015. Aroma of banana - but light due to the three finger head. Appearance was a five with a beautiful orange / yellow colour, thick white foam and streams of bubbles rising up through the centre of the glass. But the taste was a let down. So much promise to be thin, watery and weak. No long finish or lingering flavour. I so wanted this to be good, but it was below average except for appearance. Sticking with Weihenstephaner so far instead.

As Hacker Pschorr Weisse. Pours a hazy orange color, topped with a big and semi-lasting off-white head, poor lacing. Banana and spices in the aroma, quite strong spicy presence actually. The taste is very mellow on the other hand, just slightly sweet and quite watery actually. Not a bad one. But nothing special.

Semi-filtered gold with light carbonation bubbles and a medium, quickly settling head. The nose is full of Belgian yeast and bananas. The tastes obediently follow suit, adding a touch of citrus bite. A very quaffable, rock solid wheat beer.

Draught (a restaurant near Murnau) - Hazy gold/amber with a white head. Banana, peach and sultanas in the aroma. Refreshing taste with peach, banana, apricot and a hint of spice.

Keg at Beer Run. Hazy orange, large fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of banana, yeast, creamy wheat. The taste is yeast, spice, banana, pineapple in the finish. Medium bodied, lingering spice, high carbonation.
