2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught Slightly veiled orange beer under a dense, fine medium whitish head. Grassy, fresh-malty nose, fresh but undistinctive. Malty taste with slight citrussy-orange touch. And nothing else. A bit spritzy MF, served overly cold. Ultre-boring Helles. This is nearly a Belgian brewpub in quality, not in size...

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: poured a golden amber in color with a thick white head. The smell was a sweet hoppy grassy aroma. Taste started sour hoppy but finished as a dry rich malt.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On cask, Der Pschorr. Cold to the touch, transparent, and magnifying pale copper-gold in color with a sudsy, frothy white and one-inch thick head. Crisp lemon scented air freshener sheets lying on top of crescent rolls hit the nose first, followed by starchy stalks of grain, cologne and a distant pear skin persona playing out with some grapeskin on oak. Easy going biscuit flavor grasps the smoothed characteristics of a bakery in the morning while going about the lighter citric accents in a round about way. Light floral notes meet the fluffy, arid and shower curtain cap of herbal margarine and buttered dinner rolls. The oak from whence it came is minorly discernable. More carbonated than most casks, and it’s straddling the light-to-medium body range. Mild effervescence and an all-out chomp out of the Bavarian breakfast air bring us to a close.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2008 Tap
Has improved with the new owner: cloudy yellow, low lace. Spicy and fruity nose. Medium to light fruity yeast base, good portion of bittering hops in the finish. Dry on the palate.
Cloudy pale yellow, lacing creamy head.
Light yeasty aroma.
Fizzy medium to light body.
Balanced to boredom - wellcrafted but in the end dull.
