Draught at brewpub München. Creamy white fully lasting head. Golden yellow colour. Powerfull hoppy aroma. Very malty flavor. Long finish. This is a very good dortmunder/helles.

A hoppy but also supremely malty Zwickelbier. I enjoyed it perhaps the most out fo the Hacker-Pschorr Braeuhaus collection.

On cask, Der Pschorr. Cold to the touch, transparent, and magnifying pale copper-gold in color with a sudsy, frothy white and one-inch thick head. Crisp lemon scented air freshener sheets lying on top of crescent rolls hit the nose first, followed by starchy stalks of grain, cologne and a distant pear skin persona playing out with some grapeskin on oak. Easy going biscuit flavor grasps the smoothed characteristics of a bakery in the morning while going about the lighter citric accents in a round about way. Light floral notes meet the fluffy, arid and shower curtain cap of herbal margarine and buttered dinner rolls. The oak from whence it came is minorly discernable. More carbonated than most casks, and it’s straddling the light-to-medium body range. Mild effervescence and an all-out chomp out of the Bavarian breakfast air bring us to a close.

At the brewpub on the edge of Theresienwiese. Gentle, chilled, lemony-piney hop refreshment. Really hitting the spot after a 45min, 30c ride across Munchen. Hint of mist, lagery froth. Late biscuit, but hop-driven and slightly nutty. Soapy, makes your teeth squeak. Quenchingly lagery hell.

Tap on the Theresienhöhe, bright cheerful golden with a frothy white head. Malty pale nose, taste is sweet and pleasant, heavy with straw, some light hops and yeast undertones, natural and provincial and refreshing. Medium body, even some fruitiness in back.

On tap at the brewpub. Grainy goodness, I’d prefer it more bitter. It slides down well on a hot evening, though. But don’t go out of your way for this.

Huge foamy head, hazy yellow color. Fresh yeasty flavor. Citrus and grain notes. Fresh yeasty aroma with citrus notes. Dry, light bitter finish.

Part of the Great Munich Beer Raid 2010. On tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a huge off white head. Aroma is sweet, earthy and hay. Malty, yeasty fruity and hoppy. Palate is dry and bitter, lasting creamy ending.
