3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle) Pours golden. The aroma is of white bread, grain and a straw-like maltiness with herbal hops to back it up. The flavour is of wet cardboard/paper, grassy/herbal hops and straw-like malt. Light buttery. The mouthfeel is tight and cardboard dry. Light sweet and light to medium bitter. Medium bodied.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Swing-top bottle (50 cl) at Haket, Göteborg, Sweden. Clear golden with medium white head. Bready and papery with grassy and herbal hops. Dry with a marked bitterness. Would have been really good without the paper aromas.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle brown, 500 ml, 11.5P
Appearance: Pours very bright golden, citrusy body colour, perfectly clear in its texture, there is very gentle carbonation, as the beer quickly decarbonates but on the other hand the head is very thick, huge initially, than slowly decreasing to a small, gives preminant lacing what is nice to see in the Pilsener type of beer, deep frothy seems almost creamy and slighty off - white.
Aroma: Sharp and refreshing hoppyness which is very distinct and high in its aroma, herbal, focused and also somewhere in its deepness gentle sweet malty touch, very citrusy, reminding a lot like Classic Bohemian Pilsener of very high quality and sharing a lot with its Bohemian neighbour. Some interesting accdity, a hint of sauerkraut.
Flavour: Very nice and pronounced sharp hoppyness giving strong and focused bitterness on your palate especially after some time, in the aftertaste aromatic herbal, refreshing and pronounced hoppy nose. Maltyness is hidden somewhere at the background, very high hoppy content. I haven’t encountered so high hoppy level beer in a long time up to now. Citrusy notes, lemon seeds and grapefruit. Very light body, in texture dry, refreshing, easy going and generally strenghtening apetite. Malty is not as fat in its content or stress on malty sweetness as some ’Bohemian Pilseners’ but still decent and unforgetable, mild but not sparkling on palate due to low body carbonation.
Palate: Body is light, texture is definitely dry, carbonation on palate is very low, finish feel is citrusy, clean and surprisingly not that chalky.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hits all the right notes: fresh grass, bit of citrus, a bit of yeast -- that outdoorsy smell you get from German Pils. Clean, a bit malty, but overall a bit dull.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, 4.9%. Clear golden colour. OK white head. The flavour is standard lager, quite flavourful, but with a little rubber.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden colored with lively carbonation. Medium sized white head. Hopped and crispy aroma with some weird banana note. Medium bodied. Flavor is similar basic German pils: biting hops and lemon, aftertaste turns to dry one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells perfumy with some crisp dry malt presence. Tastes bitter with some nice dry pilsner malty goodness and some splashes of perfumy wildflower like hoppy touches on the finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Biggish fine-bubbled shiny white head. Yellow body with carbonation. Light mildly fruity peppery aroma with malty earthy notes. Dry golden fruity taste with malty honeyish notes and traces of mint. Chalky, clean, sharpish mouthfeel. Aftertaste is much the same. Spicy, minty taste lingers. An excellent pils. (0.25l draft at der Pschorr, München.)

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the Castle. Wow. Maaaaaaaan this stuff was good. Since it was on tap I’m sure it was in the best possible condition to be enjoyed outside of Munich, and I’d be so bold as to say that this is about as close as one can get to true German draught beer in North America. Amazing, simple, subtle and floral aroma of Noble hops, mixed in with pils malts that promise not to disappoint. Flavour is the same as the aroma but magnified. Crisp, smooth as a Helles, refreshing, with a perfect Noble hop finish, followed by an absolutely delicious sweet and bready malt character. This is, in all honesty, the best German Pilsener I’ve ever had! A Pilsener that entices you to drink more and more, pint after pint!
