Good malty/hoppy aroma with yeasty and spicy notes. Taste is very well balanced. It has a mild texture and is slightly dominated by maltiness. Ends with a decent bittersweet finish. Cloves, wheat, banana bread, and dryness. A dark yeast sediment pocket at the bottom with a lively carbonation. Hacker-Pshorr is one of Germany’s finest. GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 7, 2006 Draught at Smokeless Joe. Very hazy golden-brown colour with a moderate head. Aroma is yeasty with notes of clove and a slightly soapy quality. Flavour is bang on for the style - notes of banana, clove, sweet malt & yeast. Mouthfeel is light, and the finish is quite short. Not my favourite, but not too bad.
