SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Mar 4, 2004 Updated: Jun 23, 2005Brown and cloudy. Large carbonation bubble. Fruity aroma. Tart wheat flavor. Watch for this one on tap. UPDATE: (6/22/05) Had this in the US export version 500 ml bottle today. Great long lasting beige frothy pillow-like head that remains during the entire drink. Same tart flavor, especially with the yeast mixed up and poured into the glass. Slightly on the light side in body, but a very good beverage. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Mar 1, 2004 Poured a inviting opaque orange-amber with gargantuan head. Relatively mellow yeast aroma. The flavor is surprisingly sweet, vaguely yeast and clove. Odd metallic finish. Decent, but not the best I've had. Drinkingdan (371), Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 16, 2004 A brown-amber color with tan head. A very nice Hefeweizen, but not an outstanding one. I think I need to try twice to fully make up my mind. abbotsampson (15), PARIS, France Feb 6, 2004 This amber, cloudy wheat has a nice fruity nose with hints of bitterness. The initial taste is sweet with highlights of chocolate and fruit. There is a medium finish that continues the chocolate and fruit beginning. A little sweet for me, but not bad. jbak (110), Torrington, Connecticut, USA Jan 27, 2004 Pours a nice amber, quite cloudy color, with a large, thick and rocky tan head with very little lacing. Aroma is mostly banana with some spicey notes. Taste is malty sweet with a crisp finish. LordNeuf (125), Acton, Massachusetts, USA Jan 26, 2004 a very fruity aroma. burnt cream head with lasting strenght. Cloudy amber hue and a cider like taste. However the aftertaste leaves a bad mouth feel, which takes it down a few notches. becksgenius (105), Illinois, USA Jan 24, 2004 Updated: Feb 13, 2004The highlight here is the aroma, its striking, yet delicate. mild notes of banana, clove and a hint of hops. finishes quite nicely. SpringsLicker (2041), Tennessee, USA Jan 4, 2004 I'll admit this needs a few more samplings for accuracy due to the fact that these Weizen beers just don't travel well. Not as good as the best Weihenstephan that I've had, but very similar in flavor and aroma profile. It just tasted like it was a little past it's peak.
