Cloudy light brown with medium pancake, creamy, beige head with lacing. Aroma is yeasty, light, nutty, wheat and caramel. Flavor is nutty, wheat, slight graininess, only a slight banana and clove. Medium body and light carbonation. A really tasty brew. oh6gdx (8838), Vasa, Finland
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Bottled (from beerangel.de). Hazy nutbrown colour with big creamy beige head. Aroma is banana, some fruits and caramel malts along with some mild yeastyness. Flavour is banana, wheat, caramel malts, some nuttyness and also mild cheesy notes in the background. Tonguetickling carbonation, yet very smooth to drink. scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 30, 2009 500 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with a large, foamy, clingy beige head that lasts. Has a lot of bubbles rising from the bottom. Taste is of yeast, wheat, fruit, spice and some banana. Similar aroma. Has a slight tingly mouthfeel, but has a thin body and is on the watery side. Very clean and easy to drink. Looks good, but the taste is rather disappointing. Not bad, but a forgettable beer. rayg1 (437), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Found this in Okinawa this past week. Pours out a dark murky brown with a rather large tan head to it. However, the head doesn’t last long and isn’t really satisfying, exciting at first but quick to let you down, probably just like your first teeth grinding experience with head when you and your lady were 15 or so. Aroama is the typical banana-clove combo you would find in most weisse beers. Flavor is sweet and yeasty, doughy, and hay-like. It was accented by a slight fruity flavor of plum. Not bad, but again not the best thing in the world. RCL (1460), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 15, 2009 Bottle of "Hacker-Pschorr Weisse Dark" which is the American alias, I would assume. Aroma is like a dry Bananas Foster. Quite banana-y in the flavor as well, with hints of clove on the finish. Well made and tasty. joeyplush (333), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of bananas and some cloves, with hints of roasted malt in the background. Flavor is similar, with citrus, followed by a roasted malty finish. PaulHegedus (464), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Draught at Abbot on the Hill, Toronto. This was tan brown in a tall weizen glass with a beautiful one inch frothy head. There was caramel, some fruit, and clove in the aroma, all fairly subdued. The body was light to medium with a fair bit of carbonation. I could taste lots of fresh brown bread, more caramel in the malt, some subtle clove, dark fruit. BuckeyeBoy (1654), Boise, Idaho, USA
