Alot better on tap than in the bottle. A lot better over there than here. Tied with Augustiner for best big Munchener beer.

12 oz bottle. bright and light in color yet rich in flavor. thin blanket of foam sticks around for a while. clean aroma like a german pilsner. clean malt. slight buttery mouthfeel. light bitterness. nice bubbles. clean dry finish with a lingering prickly sensation. they must use some noble hops. on tap is so fine. goes down like a big glass of milk did when i was a kid.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2003 I cannot say enough good things about Hackerpschorr. This is kind of like a lager or pilsner but so much higher quality then the USA conterpart. No bitter after taste, just a fresh, smooth, great, one!

On tap at Beer Bistro, Toronto. Beautiful clear pale yellow pour with ringy foam. Aroma of fresh cereal, pale malt, light citrus notes and fresh bread. Taste is citrusy with lots of cereals, all you need. Nice carbonation on the palate, light bodied. Pretty much as good as it gets, definitely could drink this all night long.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Admiral (524) - Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 20, 2002
Malty/grassy in both flavor and aroma. Nice gold color, strong head.
