3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Slayer85 (872) - Firenze, - OCT 17, 2006
Golden coloured, the head is creamy but disappears quickly. The aroma is too light with some herbal and bread aroma. The taste is sweet for the malt, but the hop presence is good and gives the beer a good balance and aftertaste. Not outstanding but an enjoyable example of the style.
3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 rozsoma (266) - HUNGARY - APR 12, 2012
On tap, Der Pschorr, Munchen, Viktualenmarkt. First beer of our discovery tour and a starting station of my helles-loving procedure. Solidly sweet and a bit dry and delicious. Exhausting beer for a good conservation.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 solidfunk (660) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2012
Tastes like a trashy lager with the slightest hint of decency. Alright for that kind of thing but that’s it. No aftertaste. On tap at beerbistro.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Metalchopz (1429) - Quebec, CANADA - JAN 25, 2012
Originally rated August 2005. Sampled from their brown 500ml bottle in a lager glass. Pours a clear yellow colour with a small white head that is foamy (not creamy like the description says). Retention and carbonation is light. Also, small amounts of lacing. The scent is of grass and alcohol. Mouthfeel is creamy. The taste starts off with sweet malt and stays until the grassy hop kicks in the aftertaste. Dry finish and slight sourness in the background. Not too bad, but nothing to exciting. Recommended to those who like it grassy.

Lacy blond colour with bubbly white head. Fairly straightforward German lager that can be drunk over and over at a BBQ or beer hall.

On tap at Beer Bistro, Toronto. Beautiful clear pale yellow pour with ringy foam. Aroma of fresh cereal, pale malt, light citrus notes and fresh bread. Taste is citrusy with lots of cereals, all you need. Nice carbonation on the palate, light bodied. Pretty much as good as it gets, definitely could drink this all night long.

500ml bottle poured a pale golden straw color with a small white head and a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light fruits and grain. Taste is lightly sweet malts and fruit with a mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with some modest carbonation and a decent mouthfeel. An acceptable beer that is refreshing to drink.

Taste : Malt and grain with citrusy hops. Nice citrusy finish with lots of malt too. Faint bitterness.
Overall : Nice stuff, really refreshing and drinkable. Nice citrusy notes. I’ve had much better Helles though.

Thick creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Ok but not that special

Vom Fass at Der Pschorr. It is a tasty brew with a sweet malt flavor and just enough hops in the finish.
