Hacker-Pschorr (Hefe) Weisse

Funny, before I actually tried any German beer I always had the impression it would be dark, strong and harsh. But now I know better, and I’ve come to understand the festive nature of a good German beer. This medium-full bodied brew comes off like a celebration of a good harvest and the anticipation of another fine year. It’s made me listen to polka music in an entirely different way.

Hazy light gold color, with a white head that lasts throughout the drinking experience. Taste is rather boring and uneventful - yeast, wheat, some spiciness. Drinkable, but not particularly enjoyable. Forgettable.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong, fine fruity, notes of banana. The finish a bit weaker, a bit dry. Still a good hefeweizen!

Bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with a frothy white head. The aroma and flavor are both full of clove, banana, and spices. The beer has a medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a nice long finish. Overall, I absolutely love this beer. I really like the spicy aroma and taste. This beer also tastes great with a lemon slice in it.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a nice full white head. Aroma of clove, grain and banana. Taste of cloves banana, yeast and light citrus.Has a very nice semi sweet smooth finish. Enjoyable brew!

rocky white foam, hazy, good ballanced, light bitter, light sweet, medium bitter, fizzy,

bottle, pours very hazy orange with a tall off white head. Wonderful banana, clove and slight bubblegum aroma. Wheaty flavors and a sweet malt with a hint of orange or lemon round out the mouth. Stays creamy and ends with a lingering sweet carmel flavor. Wonderful weissen.

Pretty nice hefeweizen. Hazy orangish color with a nice white head. Fruity esters and wheat on the aroma. Flavor is wheat, pale malt, banana/clove, and a little yeast. Pretty average palate for the style.
