Re-Rate 01/19/02: Pours a slightly ’Chill Hazed golden amber color, generous frothy head, sheet lace upon the glass. Citrus and earthy grainy malt nose, the start is sweet, the middle is medium, as is the carbonation, and the finish is faintly hopped, dry, acidic and overall a pretty decent beer.

Bronze-gold appearance, faint fruity/yeasty esters but a decent wheat.

First time I’d heard of this brewery, but hopefully not the last. I like German Wheat and this is a fine example. The color is slightly opaque, the head absolutely magnificent, almost like whipped cream. The taste is typical but slightly sweeter than others in this category. The finish is nice but not spectacular. Overall, a good choice but a little expensive.

Very cloudy dark straw. Decent head and lace. Wheat, slight clove, and sweet nose. Soft, creamy, slight fruity with a carbonation bite. Very drinkable. An average wheat.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2003 Another classic German version with lots of flavor to match. US brewers take note. US drinkers forget the lemon.

Never disappoints. Exactly what a nice hefe-weizen should be! Best in the summer time but any time is OK. Delicate and sometimes a little citrusy. Mmmm!

Pretty good beer; there are many better ones, but not for $1.69 a pint.

Humongous head; smell slightly off, one of my buddies, who does theater tech work, said it tasted like ’blue board’. You might think of heavy styrofoam instead. Pleasant beginning; disappointing ending.

Not even close to what I look for in a wheat. The pallate was the deal-breaker for me.
