bottle, pours very hazy orange with a tall off white head. Wonderful banana, clove and slight bubblegum aroma. Wheaty flavors and a sweet malt with a hint of orange or lemon round out the mouth. Stays creamy and ends with a lingering sweet carmel flavor. Wonderful weissen.

Pretty nice hefeweizen. Hazy orangish color with a nice white head. Fruity esters and wheat on the aroma. Flavor is wheat, pale malt, banana/clove, and a little yeast. Pretty average palate for the style.

500 mL Bottle. Like any wheat beer it pours a cloudy deep gold with a 3-finger white head that immediately settles to a 1-finger fluffy layer. This beer has an intriguing aroma of grains, banana, pineapple, an innuendo or orange rind, and a very faint innuendo of cloves; actually very delightful. A layer of sediment at the bottom of the bottle tells me this beer is likely bottle-conditioned and not filtered and pasteurized. The taste doesn’t seem to titillate the senses the way the aroma does: grainy-wheaty with an aftertaste of bananas with a hint of pineapple and a slight note of butterscotch in the finish. There is a heavy cloyingness that I find hurts the flavor some. It is a distinct palate that I’ll be the first to say is not the ideal of every beer drinker but for one who likes wheat beer, it could be very likeable. Smooth carbonation. It is the aroma alone that boosts whatever rating here, but I’ve had better-tasting Heffes.

This beer smells way better than it tastes- smells of flowers, fruits, bananas and caramels. Unfortunately, it tastes of water trying desperately to not be water. Akin to an American Macrobrew. I’m happier with Tucher- it is cheaper and has somewhat more flavor than this.$7 on tap, .5 liter at Abraxas on Miami Beach.

12 oz bottle purchased from the Beer Run in Chattanooga. Poured a cloudy yellow/orange color with a two finger, fluffy white head. The aroma was citrus, lemons, bananas and clove, with notes of yeast. The flavor was wheaty, with banana and cloves present in the middle and a citrus, orangey finish. This was an excellent Hefe.
