Average German wheat. Hazy golden color. Has a nice flavor, a bit sweet and tangy, sort of like lemons coated with sugar. First wheat beer I ever had, and still one of my favorites.

Nice German wheat, but nothing special. Standard wheat sweetness, with yeastiness apparent. Aroma also has some clove.

Solid fruit and yeast aroma. I’m having a hard time deciding what wheat I like best. This one is good though.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2003 Wonderfully refreshing. All the right aroma and flavor, except it smells slightly stronger than others of the style, but it is no flaw. Looks good and feels great too. My whole glass is lined with bubbles up and down.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2009 Luscious plantanes levitate from the milky yeast…Soft and frothy effervescence carries delicately citrusy wheat and doughy bread...Palpitations arise from the smell of a good summer weizen…

This Weisse isn’t your typical Weisse beer. When you pour it, you can see the yeast wafting through your glass. Then, once you taste it, and close your eyes, you can see this old-fashioned brewery, lots of wooden barrels and vats, and all of a sudden everything makes sense.
Seriously though, this beer is unique in its aftertaste, which lingers for quite a while. The beer itself is a bit on the watery side, which again would make it a great refreshing beer, on a hot day.

A tremendous example...nice & cloudy, hefty, a lot like the Paulaner.

Pours what you’d expect of a hefe.Cloudy gold.Big white head that recedes pretty quickly. Aroma of citrus and spice. Good palate, nicely carbonated giving it a lively mouthfeel. Flavor is excellent, wheaty with a little tartness at the end.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2003 My fifth-favorite wheat. Even beats the Weihenstephaner Hefeweisse. Very wheaty, with a hint of sourness.
