Nice cloudly orange color. The aroma was a bit citrusy, but that may have been from the orange slice that was placed on the rim of the glass. The taste was ok, but there was a hint of something that I couldnt make out. I guess I just need more pracitce with tasting beers.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A cloudy golden color with a long foamy/bubbly, off-white head with great lacing. The aroma is extremely wheaty and spicy. The flavors have hints of spice, especially clove. Very consistent, the beer taste virtually the same from beginning to end almost 30 minutes later. I second 49degrees comments as I bought the Canadian version as well called Hefe Weisse at 5.5%ABV.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy golden color with a short, off-white head. The aroma is pretty wheaty and spicy. The flavors have the obvious banana and clove, but not to the point of being overdone. A good wheat beer, but not the best.

Highly recommended for someone who enjoys wheat beers. Ranks among my favorites along with hoegaarden, schneider, and wittekerke.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2003 Wonderful fruity-spicy aroma. Pours dark yellow, with an orange tinge. High carbonation, cloudy, rather thick head that is quite long lasting. Starts with a spicy taste, touch of sourness in the middle, but the finish is rather flat. But that is a minor complaint. Overall my favourite wheat. Refreshing, flavourful and priced right.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is an exceptional wheat beer that should easily rank amongst the top Hefeweizen styled brews in the world.
A textbook classic, featuring a cloudy copper toned appearance that allows for a giant foamy (bubble bath style) head to fill the glass. Head takes a considerable amount of time to dissipate and leaves extensive lacing around the glass. (Be sure to drink this one from a traditional Weissbier styled glass for full enjoyment).
Super flowery aroma jam packed with the strength of its wheat base plus hints of citrus fruits, clove and a complex selection of malts.
All of the aromas come through in the taste of this beer with complexities of its fruity palette shining through. A beer with great characteristics and with an extremely consistent behavior from the first sip to the very last drop. Enjoy it in good health.
(NOTE: Based on a 500ml bottle sold under the HEFE WEISSE name in Canada. After much digging on the Internet it would appear that although the beer is often sold throughout the world as either WEISSE and HEFE WEISSE, the brew is supposedly the same thing despite packaging differences and the apparent availability of both versions at the same time from the same retailer.)
