Brewed with 60 percent wheat, 40 percent barley - using top fermenting yeast, it is then slowly lagered and remains unfiltered throughout the finish.

This brew poured a small head of mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a fair lacing and a transparent straw yellow colored body. It had a mild malt hop aroma and a mild bitter mouthfeel. The flavor was one of those typical malted hoped ones.

Citrusy aroma. Nice cloudy honey-coloured wheat beer with beautiful big head that coats the glass as it settles. Some banana flavour present but not much clove. Bitterness appropriate to style. Sparkling effervescent mouthfeel and smooth creamy finish. Not the perfect example of the style but definitely a good example and very drinkable too. Bottle.

Dayton, OH AleFest: As much as I luv German beers, this one was a disappointment as there was nothing all that special about it and it lacked character. On to my rating...small sized white head with fine sized bubbles. The body was clear and it contained some carbonation. The nose was malty, hoppy, citrus and spicy. The flavor was lightly bitter tasting and there were notes of malt and hops. The mouthfeel of this beer was smooth and light bodied.

Bottle, murky orange with medium white head that hung around for a while. Yeast and spicy aroma. Has a big banana flavor, medium body, citrus bite. Lively carbonation yet soft and smooth, yes indeed refreshing which is the true reason for drinking a hefeweizenbier.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2004 Nice wheat/citrus nose. Golden cloudy with a medium head and good amounts of lacing. Wonderful light citrus flavor. Very pleasent experience. (note: the bottle had the label of "weisse" only)

Solid looking hefe, cloudy pale yellow with a tint of orange, large puffy white head that sticks around, hardly fades at all and lacing in lots of strings and spots. Smell is subdued and a little light for a hefe, but what's there is quite complex with a dullish lemon and sweet wheat grain front with lots of herbal things playing in the background of grasses, clove, and spicey yeast. Taste is alot more of the same, very mellow and even balance of dulled lemon and wheat grainy malts, very fresh with a nice herbal flower sense and very mild playing hops. Everything seems softer then I like in a hefe, needs to be a bit more pronounced in flavors for me, but the herbal quality, which I liked alot, is what kept me drinking this, its delicate and softer approach is nice in that respect. Lighter then medium body with a lightly playing crispness of lemon zip and sweet wheat with a nice soft texture which makes for some very easy drinking on this stuff. Not bad at all, a bit more body and flavor and it would have me hooked.

From a bottle. I didn't notice much of an aroma after this was poured but the appearance and the taste made up for it. Very pretty cloudy orange-amber in the glass with a few visible "floaties". Man, look at that head build--and it sticks around for a long time, too. Taste is very nice with plenty of cloves & banana to satify my taste buds. Great mouthfeel as well; about the "creamiest" beer I've ever had. Very yummy.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2005 Gold-orange and lightly hazy with a thick, tight white head. Aroma of black pepper, oranges, and crackers. Tangy citrus flavors and wheaty body. Actually it’s too much citrus tang and not enough depth of flavor. An average bottled hefe.

I had this beer on draught, it was cloudy with a slight white head that disappeared quickly. Has a fruity aroma and it tasted nice and refreshing. A great summer beer. Nice subtle notes of banana and clove. Not bitter at all, quite smooth with a mellow yeasty fruitiness. A nice balanced example of a weisse beer, though there are much better out there.
