There is so much flavor packed in this perfectly balanced weizen. Lots of clove and light fruit in nose and in flavor profile. Damned fine stuff and drinkable in quantity.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2003 Cloudy orange colour, head is persistant. Mostly yeast, wheat and banana. A bit of wheat acidity, somewhat metallic taste at first but it goes away after a few sips. Whole wheat bread finish.

A good example of th style. Overall I prefere Belgian White. Nice head, cloudy colour. Citrus edge.

This is a very good wheat beer, it is extremely balanced. Has almost no hint of lemon, but retains an orange rind taste. Nice head and body, but the finish is short.

Beautiful presentation as it sits in the hefewiezen glass. Huge, pillowy white head with a cloudy amber hue to the liquid. Aromas of yeast, wheat and caraway seeds. Flavor is initially yeasty with a light malt presence, eventually falling into a dominate malt profile with a wheat presence. Finish is mildly citric and somewhere between sticky and somewhat clean. Good, but give me a Maisels.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a rich frothy white head. Slighty sweet with lots of banana and clove flavor. The finish is smooth and warming. A fine German Weissbier.

Sweet nose that gives way to vapors of wheat. Very easy, smoothe, crisp, with hints of sweetness and wheat that wash over your tongue. Perfect carbonation. I just love this style and this is one of the best ive had yet.

Color and aroma to style. Light clove, no banana esters. Perhaps a touch of phenolics. A refreshing beer. A bit thin.

This is the first wheat beer I actually like... of course, I haven’t had any of the really good wheat’s, but that’s not the point... the point is, that this is one incredibly balanced wheat. Probably because it doesn’t just taste like lemons... it has the wonderful yeasty peppermint, grapefruit rind flavor that I enjoy and plenty of spices to go around. Little to no lemon flavor and thank god for that... I mean really.

I tried this beer on two separate occasions, and it is overated for a wheat beer. There are lots of better ones available.
