Brewed with 60 percent wheat, 40 percent barley - using top fermenting yeast, it is then slowly lagered and remains unfiltered throughout the finish.

This was a very nice brew altogether. Nice and wheaty, but a little high on carbonation. Great flavor and palate.

Import Bottle. I've enjoyed this as a draft a few times, so how does a bottle taste after a long journey? Quite the same. I'm enjoying this as a "commuter speacial" (out of the bottle in a brown paper sack on the train). Good spicy weiss smell, actually a tad understated. Cloudy body. Full banana and clove taste, with a hint of lemon. A nice little head works up in the bottle. And a fine, playful effervescence on the tongue. A fine, fine beer.

At the bottom of the 16.9 oz bottle it simply said "Weisse" - the Weisse labels shown in the pics here all have another word in front of the "Weisse", but judging by the deScriptions, I think I have the right one. The bartender poured the first 2/3 in a normal fashion... then he put the bottle down on its side, rolled it back and forth, poured more, and repeated that procedure 3 times (in order to mix all of the sediment into the glass (which was a 16.9 oz Franziskaner glass). Golden yellow - Incredible head - down to the last mouthful, there was atleast a half inch head - continuous stream of micro-fine bubbles - wheaty aroma (slightly lemon) - pleasant wheaty taste - very nice indeed

light straw body a bleach white, big doamy head. light wheat nose, esters and subdued phenol nose. sweet and light, awesome on hot, humid summer evenings

Nice blond wheat beer with a nice head. Very good taste of hweat with a subtle sweet touch. I was very impressed with that brew. It is very simple but very pleasant and well done. A real german mastercraft of a beer.

Cloudy pale orange. & I can pour it correctly from the bottle. Nice half inch foamy head. Smells like wheat and lemon. Nice flavor. Bubble gum, licorice & lemon, carbonated and tangy. If you add lemon it pulls out more of the citrus flavor but I don't recommend it. It loses its other flavors. Great beer, excellent hefeweizen.

(Bottle) Another wonderful beer from Hacker-Pschorr. Pours a hazy golden color with a thick, frothy white head. Love the smooth finish on this beer. Keeps your tastebuds craving for more...

Bottled. Huge amount of banana in the smell and taste. Was a little on the sweet side. Besides that it's your typical hefe.

Has the usual going on with more sweetness than others of the style. Crisp, drying kinda sour lemonish finish.

This was a below average hefe. Aroma is sweet, but you really have to work for it. Taste is very sweet and kind of thin up front, with a weird herbal ending. I can't imagine drinking any kind of quantity of this.
