4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
WOW....boy did i find a nice staple to keep around the house in this Hefeweisse. Beautiful cloudy orange yellow pour with a huge long lasting white creamy head...some lacing evident. The aroma frolics over my nose with banana's, cloves, and wheat. The taste is so damn tangy, fruity, banana and clove like, with some syrupy tang going on here and a nice malty balance right in the mid sip. Dry balanced finish..banana and clove bring the tang to just the right level. Remember..no one should ever turn down tang if they get the chance (..see that 70's show for copyrights on that one). A beautiful beer, and one that shall forever be in my fridge.

I think this is the best looking beer in a glass. Banana, clove and sweet aroma. Big foamy white head . Flavor is sweet, wheaty, and a touch spicy. Extremelly smooth and refreshing.

On tap. Cloudy ochre gold with a fat white head. Popping out of the mug, even. Slightly heavier bodied than I can remeber from any other hefeweizen. Mild flavor with a bit of tanginess and even a bit of acidity. Very fruity. Not too bad, even though I dislike the style in general. I could have another round.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Typical hefe nose, but a little too light - also smells a little like a clogged drain. Cloudy orange color and a low tight head. Some spiciness in the middle and a grassy finish. Thinish and a watery finish. Not the best hefe, but decent.

Bottle. A hazy golden color with rising bubbles and a foamy white head. The aroma has citrus, coriander, wheat, and candy. Lively in the mouth with a touch of vanilla with the wheat malts.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2007 A standard German wheat. A great banana/spice aroma in a hazy gold beer with a large white head. Delicious wheat flavors and mouthfeel. One of the better wheats you can buy.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Medium gold color, slightly hazy. Enormous head. Aroma is yeast and malt, with a touch of rye. A medium bodied weisse. Malts are pronounced for a German Wheat. Some of the banana and clove flavor thing going on, but there is some fruitiness and there is a very definite rye spiciness as well. Very smooth. Very tasty. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is very slightly sweet.
