shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Dec 25, 2008 A nice hefe smelling of spices, citrus and spices. The taste is banana, citrus, cinnamon, cardamon, and yeasty bread. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Dec 24, 2008 50cl bottle. Opaque gold-orange with an everlasting, frothy white head. Pretty standard aroma for style: spicy and fruity with banana being a strong component, and a bit of citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet with a low bitterness and the banana and spice showing up over a slightly grainy wheat flavor. medium-light bodied with a smooth, creamy texture that has a bit lower carbonation than seems standard. Solid overall, but nothing distinctive about it, it really just blends in with the other good, if monotonous, Bavarian weissebiers that we get over here HermanW (619), Coevorden, Netherlands Dec 23, 2008 0,5 liter beugelfles. Aroma of sweet clove slight honey and malt. Clove on the nose, latent banana, nice medium body heft from the wheat. Balanced. SkyCop32 (286), Morlautern, Germany Dec 20, 2008 This is a good Hefe, like bananas and the wheat, then you are in. This is a good color and good aroma. ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador Dec 20, 2008 Bottle: My sample said only Weisse on the labeI assume its the same as the Hefe Weise. On the label there is a 05.05 hope its not the expiration date... that would be the second flop from Keg & Bottle in San Diego but it would explain the low rating. Bierkrug (235), Idar-Oberstein (in Pakistan), Germany Dec 11, 2008 Never disappoints. Exactly what a nice hefe-weizen should be! Best in the summer time but any time is OK. Delicate and sometimes a very banana day. BellsFan (47), Michigan, USA Dec 8, 2008 Pours a darker pale color. The aroma is what sells the beer. Strong clove taste. Great hefeweizen. Very traditional.
