Brewed with 60 percent wheat, 40 percent barley - using top fermenting yeast, it is then slowly lagered and remains unfiltered throughout the finish.

Cloudy yellow pour, a lot do white head. Wheat, citrus, malt, floral aroma. Taste is same. Extremely smooth. The nouns German and hefe to a T. The alcohol stings just slightly and then it is mellowed out by the citrus and wheat with a slight malt backbone.

500ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours orange with a light haze. Big banana nose, clove, bready yeast malt notes. Lemon zing on the taste, more cereal grain sweetness. Light body, creamy texture, clean, herbal finish. Nice.

Pours a moderately hazy orangey amber with a massive white head. Aroma is vanilla, bubblegum, banana, mild spice and bready wheat. Flavour is Belgian fruity esters, vanilla, bubblegum, banana, clove and a mildly sweet bready/wheat. Great balance and a great example of the style.

Hazy orange/amber with a thick white head. Aroma is spice and faint menthol. Taste medium sweet and slightly bitter. Very drinkable, if not something I’d go for often.

Nice dark-yellow, orangecolored wheat beer with a creme-colored firm layer of foam. The famous banana-like aroma arises when the bottle is opened. It has some bitterness in the aroma. A bit bitter in the first appearance, but this quickly moves on into a fresh, fruity aftertaste.

Lots of banana on this one. Very nice citrusy finish, a lot of banana, faint clove, high drinkability, malt body feels a bit different, a bit heavier compared to other hefes, still nice, would need to do a direct comparison to Schneider/Weihenstephaner to give a more correct grade.

500ml Bottle. had that beer a few times. golden straw and a bit hazy. the head is sustained ... the wheat odor is predominant . after comes the spicy/hoppy smell. taste is grainy wheaty and comes a small hoppy aftertaste ! taste like one of my home-brews. quite pleasant !
