App.: Cloudy orange-golden with a nice white head that sits proud of the glass.
Aroma: Lots of yeast, banana and clove esters, light lemony spiciness.
Palate: Medium body, moderately soft effervescence, slightly syrupy.
Flav.: Another big does of yeast and bread dough, banana esters, light clove and very light lemony spice; off-dry with a clean banana bread finish.
A lovely example of the style.

Jun 22, 2008 I first had this beer in Bavaria with a plate of sausage, kraut and pretzles. It brings me back to that time and place and is an easy drinking beer with a fresh flavor.

Jun 22, 2008 Had it on tap at Fiddler’s Green in Winter Park, FL. It poured a hazy golden orange-yellow color and had an aroma of banana, citrus, and clove: taste was the same flavor with a bit of a pepper (?) in the finish. Good beer.

Jun 18, 2008 Had this in the bottle at Hatchy’s bar in Utica, MI. It poured a dark golden with a huge foamy head. It had lots of citrus on the nose, and a classic hefeweizen taste. creamy banana and hints of clove. I’m not typically a wheat beer fan, but I would gladly get this again.

Jun 17, 2008 I’m a sucker for a good Hefeweizen. Had this one in Rothernburg Germany and brought the glass home as a souvenir. Had it with a plate of weinershnitzel with an appetizer of escargot. Incredible combination of flavors for the whole meal.

Jun 7, 2008 bottle at Market Cross, Shippensburg: pours typical cloudy with fluffy white head that stays well. aroma is quity wheaty and remincent of whole wheat bread to me. also a prominent clove aroma and subdued banana. flavor is bready and yeasty with some clove flavor. well carbonated and creamy in the mouth. good weise

Jun 5, 2008 On tap at The Spotted Hog in New Hope PA. Nice hazy pour with a decent size foamy head. Great aroma of wheat and a few other things including banana and clove. Taste is of wheat, citrus a bit of lemon. Really good Hefe. Very refreshing. Would like to try it again in the bottle to see if I truely do like this beer. But on tap at this place it was great.
