Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 24, 2008 On tap at Six ’N Save. A hazy golden color with a rich creamy off-white head. Nose of coriander, banana, and lots of fruity esters. A bit of spice flavor. Coriander, apple, and some chalky pepper. A great deal of sweetness in the flavor. Pretty thin mouthfeel, but would probably be very refreshing in the summer. wheatfreak (41), Marinette, Wisconsin, USA Mar 23, 2008 Pours a golden, orange hue with the typical banana and citrus hefe aroma. Very crisp and refreshing. This is similar in taste to the Paulaner Hefeweizen, and, in fact, i’ve been told by a bar owner in Milwaukee, its probably the same beer as the Paulaner. I’m not sure, but I think the Paulaner and the Hacker- Pschorr use different yeast strains. Ok, I digress...nice Hefe. fearnobeer1976 (19), peshtigo, Wisconsin, USA Mar 22, 2008 Good beer. Tastes a lot like paulaner. Some difference not much though. Brewed in the same place maybe the same beer, who knows ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 22, 2008 Bottled. Pours out in a cloudy dark yellow/pale orange colour with a rich creamy and lasting white foam. Banana, wheat, cloves and mandarin and lemon-peels in the spicy aroma. Medium-bodied with rounded flavours of banana, cloves, oranges, all-spice with mild notes of apricots and vanilla. Creamy mouthfeel despite the lively carbonation. Cloves, bananas, tangerines, lemon-peels and peaches in long fruity and juicy aftertaste. One of the better wheat beers I’ve sampled. daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Mar 19, 2008 One of the first hefe weisse beers I ever tried. I think it is very nice. Very yeasty and minimal hops on the finish. Good brew. BigBeer45 (676), Troy, Michigan, USA Mar 18, 2008 12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy and cloudy dark gold with a good bit of effervescence, some amber hues in the center, initially this has a large white foamy head and then deflates after a few moments to a 1/4" thick covering, this beer left some bubbly lacing on the glass, has a nice ripe banana and wheat malt aromas with cloves, fragrances of malt and fruit sweetness, flavors of wheat and malt with some fruit sweetness, has a tart citrus bite at the finish to provide a dry finish with a faint taste of lemon, not much hop bitterness but the citrus clears the tongue well, feels light on the palate with some fluffiness, this was better then what I expected, I recommend trying. renffisch (495), london, Greater London, England Mar 18, 2008 500ml bottle from my bestest friend kathi. Bittersweet in aroma and almost like milk in appearance, with an orange hint that is :-). big creamy head. hops, lemon, clove and a bit of banana in flavour. but i found it very short and watery. i had better craftycarl21 (513), South Hero, Vermont, USA Mar 17, 2008 Nice beer.
