LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Mar 9, 2008 Bottle. Poured a pretty deep yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of yeast, banana, citrus. Tastes of light fruits with some spices in the swallow. Pretty carbonated. Very smooth, very refreshing, yum! rugbydude05 (280), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Mar 5, 2008 Draft at a local Irish pub while watching Man United in champions league. I was perplexed at first by the intense, sharp, wheaty aroma. The appearance was golden tan and typical of a light beer. I felt the flavor was nice and pungent with strong fruity character but the palate wasnt very smooth. I enjoyed this beer but it might be a little too tart to make a habit of drinking. hillfiiiiire (283), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 5, 2008 Pours with a nice large white, bubbly head and hazy yellow body. The aroma has a bit of a lemony scent, which I don’t think I’ve noticed in Hefe’s before. Of course, I also pick up the hint of banana there too. The flavor has a yeasty note and it finishes rather dry. It’s a pretty good Hefe. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Mar 4, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden color with a chunky brilliant white head. Aroma of lemon and banana with grain and yeast. Nice smooth palate. Yeasty citrus flavor. Very drinkable and delicious. TheCaptain (526), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 3, 2008 Bottle-Decent enough for a wheat beer. I’m note a huge wheat beer fan but this was an exceptional Weisse and a 60-40 balance. Cloudy gold and yeasty. Wheat and barley flavors with a good carbonation crisp taste. This is a good choice for heavy German food. Smooth, lightly sweet and pleasant. rob6239 (25), Ontario, Canada Mar 1, 2008 Cloudy beer with a thick white head. Nice citrus aroma. Very smooth citrusy and floral taste. Davinci (295), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 1, 2008 Pours murky yellow with nice billowy head. Good lacing. Notes of cloves, mild banana, some pepper, something somewhat doughy. Flavor is citrus (lemony) sweet, spices (cloves, maybe nutmeg) Finish is bready, citrusand banana. A classic that everyone can enjoy.
