I’m note a huge wheat beer fan but this was an exceptional Weisse and a 60-40 balance. Cloudy gold and yeasty. Wheat and barley flavors with a good carbonation crisp taste. This is a good choice for heavy German food. Smooth, lightly sweet and pleasant. rob6239 (25), Ontario, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Updated: Feb 13, 2009Bottle. Poured a hazy orange color with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is dominated by wheat, banana and yeast. Flavor really exemplifies what I believe a hefeweizen should be: nice malty entry with fruity flavors (banana and a hint of citrus) with a nice compliment of spiciness and yeast appearing on the finish. Smooth and easy drinking, much like most German beers I have encountered. I like this, partially because I feel like it is my roots.
