matt7215 (942), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Feb 2, 2008 500 ml bottle. pours hazy yellow with a big white head. spicy aromas, cloves, wheaty and yeasty. flavours are clovey banana, with yeast. enjoyable but not my fav in this style. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Feb 2, 2008 It’s a hazy, golden beer with a huge, nice head. The aroma has nice notes of wheat, banana, light citrus, some yeast and spice. The flavour has a suitable sweetness, notes of wheat, banana but not as much spice/clove as I prefer. I do however find light notes of oranges. It’s uncomplicated, charming and easy to drink! AbeerWolf (27), USA Jan 30, 2008 I wish they would eliminate the ability to review if you haven’t had this beer on tap. The strong banana and honey flavors treat your mouth to an overwhelmingly wonderful experience. A true mouthful of hefe that is delightful down to the last sip! Beautiful golden color that you couldn’t even dream of seeing through. Overall a must if you have the opportunity. If I go back to Germany I am not going to drink anything else. (None of this can be said for the bottled version, watery and disappointing!) GMUcrew7 (353), Mason, Ohio, USA Jan 27, 2008 Mostly wheat aroma with some citrus and spices. Pours very nice golden orange with good head. Flavor and palate are not as good as expected from the scent but still better than most. Probably my least favorite style of beer, but a good representation of the style none the less. doubelknv3 (559), Illinois, USA Jan 26, 2008 Citrus and wheat aroma. Cloudy, golden-orange with thick, lasting head. Wheat, spices, and sweet citrus flavours. Watery / bland palate. DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Jan 26, 2008 Updated: Apr 2, 2008Yeasty, citrusy, carbonated, delicious. A real simple review, a straight forward beer, sometimes simple just works. Canuckistani (41), Dundas, Ontario, Canada Jan 25, 2008 50 cL bottle.
Light, yeasty, somewhat spicy aroma. Small head. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour. Palate is very fluffy and was the first thing I noticed. Flavour is initially sweet and yeasty, but fades to a pleasant soft acidity and dryness that lingers for a good time. WickerBrew (312), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 24, 2008 Pretty robust and gritty for a Hefe, I would have thought I would have rated this higher. Maybe when i grab a hefe I am aiming for something softer. It is what it is, nothing more but nothing less.
