darkseduction (198), Zweibrücken, Germany Jan 22, 2008 Bottle 50cl. Typical Colour, smell. Very well balanced, long aftertaste, refreshing, that´s what a Hefeweizen should be. A very pleasant Beer. blutt59 (2044), Dallas, Texas, USA Jan 22, 2008 Tried this with the hoegaarden, actually like this better, seems to have more flavor smaller head , good hazy color and lots of clove and yeast, very nice hefe asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA Jan 19, 2008 Bottle. Hazy amber with slight head. Aroma is bready with hints of fresh yeast. Flavor is very mild, light sourness, citric fruitiness and hints of dusty yeast. Full, textured mouthfeel. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA Jan 16, 2008 1-15-08 tap
Thick yellow orange color with little to no head at all. Has a light Hefeweizen aroma - Belgium yeast is there as well as the cloves too. Has an obvious, but again slightly muted, hefe flavor. Smooth palate and decent finish. I don’t like hefeweizens but this one isn’t horrible. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Jan 15, 2008 Updated: Jul 13, 2009Glowing orange color with very little head on tap. Smell is a bit fruity, with wheat and spiced clove yeast very evident. Taste is wheaty, clovey, and the mouthfeel is quite smooth, creamy, rich, and with a bit of a crisp carbonation though. Wheat in the finish, and this is a pretty nice summer beer. One of the better hefeweizens for sure. tangentrider (144), USA Jan 14, 2008 Hazy golden beer with a fruity aroma and a creamy white head; flavor is banana and clove with some malt; short finish is slightly sweet and fruity. killtuba (11), Burke, Virginia, USA Jan 12, 2008 Very good weisse. color is perfect golden, just right for the style. aroma not overpowering, but complements the mild, fruity taste. slightly acidic but settles into the finish with a great yeast taste and a hint of bitterness. Bobsy (194), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 9, 2008 Bottle from the LCBO. Wonderful glowing gold liquid, but its frothy white head was not to last, which was disappointing. Scent is very mild and underplayed, but typical to the style once it emerges. Sweet banana and grain flavour, with a dose of citrus. Hmmph...I found the carbonation more aggressive than other reviewers, and a bit off-putting. Maybe just my bottle? Compared to other hefes I’ve tried this beer seems to be a little subpar in every category.
