Smell is a bit fruity, with wheat and spiced clove yeast very evident. Taste is wheaty, clovey, and the mouthfeel is quite smooth, creamy, rich, and with a bit of a crisp carbonation though. Wheat in the finish, and this is a pretty nice summer beer. One of the better hefeweizens for sure. tangentrider (144), USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Bottle from the LCBO. Wonderful glowing gold liquid, but its frothy white head was not to last, which was disappointing. Scent is very mild and underplayed, but typical to the style once it emerges. Sweet banana and grain flavour, with a dose of citrus. Hmmph...I found the carbonation more aggressive than other reviewers, and a bit off-putting. Maybe just my bottle? Compared to other hefes I’ve tried this beer seems to be a little subpar in every category. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 3, 2008 12 oz. bottle from 6 pack. Poured a hazy golden with a nice head. Aroma was sweet and mellow. Taste is very citrusy yet mild. A very smooth feel with light carbonation. More citrus, and not so much banana as I usually prefer my hefes. Finishes smooth but with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, a good hefe. clong83 (243), San Diego, California, USA

All I will say is that this is what a hefeweizen is supposed to taste like... Yeasty, fruity, light but sweet. Very good citrus notes in the nose and in the palate. Mild carbonation, but not flat. Delicious.
