Sep 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy orangey-gold. Small frothy head. Sharp, heavily citrus aroma. Carbonated citrus that disappears a little quickly. A bit of hops and barley at the start, but not really present throughout. Mainly citrus, orange, coriander, and a touch of spice. Missing the banana hint I like to find. Not bad, though it seems a little one (er, two?) dimensional for my taste in hefeweizens. Pretty disappointing to me.

Sep 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden brownish hazy color. Pleasant aroma of citrus and barley. Tastes of citrus and some hints of barley and wheat. Good beer. Recommended.

Sep 3, 2009 Poured into a hazy golden brown beer with somewhat of a thick head. Aromas a yeast and wheat were prominent. The initial flavor was excellent with refreshing orange zest taste. The ending is a little disaapointing though, lack taste and bitterness.

Aug 29, 2009 Bottle: A very solid hefeweizen. Pours a proper cloudy amber with no head. Arouma is yeasty and bready. Taste is cinnamon spice sweet and malty, with a light bitter finish. Light body. I never taste the banana esters in these hefeweizen that everyone seems to find, but maybe that’s just me.

Aug 24, 2009 Sample from Tap at Shallo’s. Pours Hazy yellow with bubbly white head. Strong wheat aroma. Banana, clove, wheat, nutmeg flavor. Mild carbonation. Very pleasant wheat style. Somewhat sweet (which is good), but slightly watery taste which I think distracts from what is nearly a quality brew, but all together very light crisp and refreshing!

Aug 20, 2009 Updated: Oct 10, 2009500 ml bottle. What a great Hefe! It’s been awhile since I had an authentic German Hefeweizen and I’m reminded once again how a good German version of the style blows away 99% of American versions (and I’m a fan of most of these Hefes). This is an easy drinking beer. Good stuff.
