Gpnterojd (162), Orangeville, Ontario, Canada Aug 26, 2007 Updated: Mar 27, 2008500 mL bottle. Pours a hazy orange. Aroma includes orange peel, lots of banana, and yeast. Flavour had a tart, citrusy character with banana and a few pangs of yeast. Top notch.

Drank from the bottle. Aroma speaks of banana, pineapple, almonds and faint yeast. The flavour is also centred around the banana. This centrepiece gives way to a slightly bitter sodium-celery quality. While the beer is medium to heavy bodied, I cannot help but find it watery -- the taste is not nearly as full as the aroma. Sourdough bread was left on my breath after each sip. The aftertaste is short lived. An interesting beer, but the lack of power in its flavour is a tad frustrating. Appearance rating taken from my first crack at tasting this one. MoDog (910), Griffith, Indiana, USA Aug 23, 2007 Poured from a 500ml bottle into a tall weizen glass. This hefeweizen poured a cloudy, dark yellow color with a foamy off-white head that slowly faded away. Some faint lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of this beer was made up of spicy yeast esthers, light citrus, banana, and some sour dough bread. The flavor included banana, orange peel, clove, and bread notes. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and refreshing with average carbonation. This beer is a fine example of a classic style. Very enjoyable!!! Jukkabro (2983), Tampere, Finland Aug 22, 2007 Dark yellow colored, medium sized yellow head. Rich banana in aroma with spices and obvious yeast. Medium bodied. Flavor is also nice with dominating banana, still some sour yeastiness and caramel also there. Aftertaste dries strongly. Fin (3385), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Aug 19, 2007 Bottle Beers of Europe I think Poured hazy orange with large white head. Aroma yeasty, peppercorn, and banana. Taste very refreshing quite fruity, banana again noticable but also some lemon running through, nice beer. beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Aug 15, 2007 12 oz bottle-cloudy yellow w/a moderate head. Sweet spiced aroma. Flavor of citrus, spice, yeast, banana, & wheat. Had a little bit of a "Belgian" flavor to it. This was quite good, Vrey smooth, easy drinking summer brew. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Aug 13, 2007 One of the best Hefes, especially on tap. Pours a thick, cloudy pale yellow, with a substantial head and lacing. Aroma is yeast and citrus (lemon?) and spice. Taste is thick, and heavier than expected, but still refreshing. Perhaps the ultimate summer brew!
