pintocb (508), Darsville, Georgia, USA Aug 4, 2006 Good german wheat. Lots of clove and banana. A little bland citrus hops. Worth the pour. sinte (88), udine, Italy Aug 3, 2006 Bottle 0.5L.
Moderate malty and yeasty (earth) aroma, with light hoppy notes (orange).
Clear orange body with a large, rocky, white head; mostly lasting with a good lacing.
Flavour is moderate-to-heavy sweet, with a moderate acidic note; short sweetish finish.
Light-to-medium body with a watery-to-oily texture; average carbonation; light astringent feeling in the finish.
Nice beer; maybe a bit too sweet. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Aug 1, 2006 500ml. Pours cloudy light amber with a quickly diminishing white head. Nearly still body. Mild lemons and bread on the nose. Neutral palate with a bit of tart lemon and wheat on the finish. Bland. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA Jul 31, 2006 Updated: Aug 1, 2006Bottle, One of my favorite Hefeweizens. Lemon and orande aroma with some banana and clove. Head diminishes quickly. Slighty acidic initial flavor with a bitter lasting finish. Dry on the palate. Good and refreshing on a summer day. Could drink several in one sitting. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jul 23, 2006 A wonderful Hefe. Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Lots of banana in the aroma coming off of this hazy amber pour with a nice head. Flavors really brought in the clove to go along with the banana. Everything I expect from a good Hefe. Very Nice HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Jul 20, 2006 tap. Pours golden with a fairly huge head that lasts. This is a very flavorful HefeWeisse, pronounced yeast and bread flavors, with a very full body. Hints of malts and very little hops. Classic German style. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 15, 2006 Beer is a hazy medium bright gold with a large, frothy/creamy white, mostly lasting head. The aroma is pretty nice. Malty with a light note of grain; Hoppy with a light almonst-floral note of herb; Yesty with a trace note of dough; Light miscellaneous note of banana clove, trace white pepper. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic with a short, lightly malty sweet, lightly dry finish. The body is light, the texture is velvety and the carbonation is lively. Ron (1002), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 12, 2006 Had this at a beer-food pairing event at Rohrbachs. No much of a head on my glass, but there was a string of bubbles continually raising to the top. Aroma of banana was evident. Light refreshing and smooth mouthfeel. It was good but I added then added some lemon to increase the enjoyment.
