Radegast: weizen: My first go at a German Hefe... pours very heavy dirty yellow leaving a thick dry head. The nose is of bananas and cloves, expected. The flavor had more bitters and sourness than I expected, balanced by the usual wheats, bananas and cloves. Nice.

I really liked this one, perhaps the finest German wheat beer I’ve yet had. From the hazy, almost orange colour, the abundant head, and the complex and intriguing aroma, this can’t wait to be drunk. I found the taste phenominal. So delicate, almost sweet, yet smooth and refreshing. Delicious.

Clouded mustard gold. No light gets through yet it’s light in body. Nice banana profile. Bit of a spicy kick, with some fruity elements. Not bad but something about this keeps it from excelling.

500 ml produced 01/09. Looks like a hefe should, hazy with fluffy head. Light touch on the carbonation. Not too light in body. Slightly fruity taste, with spicy bite to it. A little bubblegum or banana at the end, but not too much. One of the better hefes.

hazy orange with a small white head. Weak yeasty aroma, with banana and clove. Sweetish yeasty flavour.
