Hacker-Pschorr (Hefe) Weisse

This is an outstanding weisse beer. Has a profound banana aroma and taste. A well balanced wheat and mild spice. Really refreshing.

I drink this stuff a lot as it is one of the only good beers they stock at my local LCBO. Slightly fruity and very refreshing. I wish it was a little more complex but overall a great brew.

Germans can sure make a damn fine wheat beer and this is one of the best examples. This beer has a light maltiness and mild hops with a good yeast character.

Hazy golden color. The aroma has light spices and fruits. The mouthfeel is soft, some malt, some residual sweetness; light spices and fruitness. Classic, but too simple.

500ml Bottle: Pours beautiful with a thick head, stays cloudy as it should. Head dissipates fairly quickly to a thin line. Aroma of wheat and bananas. Flavour is excellent; a blend of orange, banana, and clove with somewhat heavy carbonation. Finishes clean, with a slight creaminess in the mouth. Overall a very good brew.

My bottle just says weisse on it. I think this is it. Full head, banana aroma, but okay. Head has a nice German wheat flavor and the main flavor isn’t so bad either. Has a sweet candy finish w/some bananas. Okay for the style.

50 cl bottle. Golden/orange colour with a nice white head. Lovely aroma of banana, yeast and some bread too. Smooth flavour of wheat, spices and yeast, very smooth and nice.

Nice weiss. When you find a good one, it just goes down so easy, and you instantly know it just feels right. I like a bit more sweetness in the flavor, but I think this is a great example of the style.
