caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Apr 19, 2006 Cloudy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, bit spicy. Bit sweet hefeweizen taste, banana. Thick and sticky mouthfeel. Good hefeweizen. bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Apr 18, 2006 If you like bananas like I do, then this is the hefe for you! Labeled simply as "Hacker-Pschorr Weisse" on the bottle (.5 L, no "Hefe") here in the states, the pour is a wonderful orange-peachy haze with a beautifully lasting foamy head. The nose is of pure banana, spice and yeasty malt. The banana sweetness pours through the light spice flavor, with the "ever-so-slight" back palate of citrus and clove overtones. It has a wonderful, bready melon-plaintain finish that works nicely with the crisp carbonation. Certainly a wonderful warm spring/summer brew, and definitely one to keep stocked! unibrouefan (124), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Apr 16, 2006 The aroma is very complex, spicy, wheathy. The appearance is yellow-orange, with bubble and texture is very dense. The palate of this beer is great and flavor of wheat is present. Very good beer and an other good one from my third best producer of beer country, Germany. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 15, 2006 Updated: Nov 12, 2006quite good. aroma is perhaps more inviting than the taste. banana/wheat certainly. gotta find out what cloves taste like... rerate. darkish for a hefe, looks good. big thick head. opposite of my last time: a bit light on aroma and flavor is tremendous. great creamy/smooth texture. radagast83 (1272), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Apr 14, 2006 Draft. Really enjoyed this beer. Wheat flavor, with a clove aftertaste. Relatively dry. Easy to finish. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Apr 12, 2006 In the 0.5 L bottle at the Huber Haus Weissbier tasting 4/11/6. Solid cloudy gold in color maybe a bit peachy in color. Medium white head. Banana esters with a slight clove aroma. Mild flavor- standard for the style. Quick finish. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA Apr 10, 2006 An excellent German hefe, although these ratings do not reflect it. Pours a cloudy light orange with a big, puffy white head. Aroma of bananas, cloves, and wheat. Taste is very balanced, with a lot of the wheat and yeast coming through. Nice bananas and spice in the finish. Nothing is overpowering, but all the flavors you expect are there. tennisjoel (931), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Apr 6, 2006 Strong banana clove aroma, with some fruity, orange notes. Thick white head, over a cloudy gold body. Very refreshing flavor. Extremely well done. May be my favorite in this style so far. A great hefeweizen.
