sanmiguel (118), Illinois, USA Apr 1, 2006 Bottled. It had a soy sauce scent to it. It oddly tastes like sushi/raw fish to me for some reason. Possibly because this is the first wheat beer I’ve ever had or its probably an old bottle. But I liked it, and I would drink it again! It’s like drinking a meal! Wonder why? bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA Mar 16, 2006 now most of these hefe that are from the real region of bavaria you cant really go wrong. this one is typical with a hazy yellow look and a white head. nose of bubblegum and spices. yeasty german wheat flavors envelope the palate. very light and refreshing. mddawso (88), Normal, Illinois, USA Mar 16, 2006 Poured a hazy yellow gold color. I am not a fan of hereweizen but this one definitly got it right. Tastes exactally like it should. Because of this it does taste fairly generic. It doesn’t have any hidden flavors or aromas. Nothing complex about this beer. This is going to be my reference for hefeweizens here on out. A very unoffensive brew.
