This is my favorite German beer. Its smooth, very, very smooth. Tastes of a grand mix of wheat and fruitiness. Its delicious year round. Cheers!

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Tried to find fruit in this, but all I found was bready notes. And, I think, a big ham that had been studded with a few cloves, roasted and ultimately burnt. Good thing I’m not a vegetarian! A little spice, but only at white pepper level. Bit more fruit in the mouth (dried banana? orange?) – but still a tight, grain-y flavour. Good level of creaminess, and nice that it’s not a banana-clone (don’t think it really shouted at me ‘banana’, or the words ‘typical of the style’), but sorry to say that I found this too fusty/dusty. Maybe my bottle my was off or something.

Invitante, nez épicé. En bouche, on retrouve les mêmes arômes mais avec une finale légèrement aqueuse à mon goût.
