I will forever compare any weissbier to Denisons, which is sad, because none will ever match it. This is the beer that has came closest. The palate is GREAT! It rolls your tongue like a great weiss does, but doesn’t contain the depth of flavour that a brew such as denison’s does.

Copper color with thick, creamy head. Cloudy and much darker than typical trigo de aleman. Aroma is cookie dough at first but you can poke through and get some dried orange, pear, and apricot. The typical hefe-weizen banana scent is a no-show. A good gulp will give you a burst of sweetness with, but a security patrol of hops will hover around your tongue to ensure you won’t ever call this beer a "sweet one". Very creamy mouthfeel and low carbonation. Overall it sets itself apart from classic hefe-weizen. Fans of Chimay will find this as an inexpensive alterative if they can do with the slightest of hop bitterness.

Bottle from Alko. Beautiful hazy orange color with big foamy head. Fresh and tasty fruity taste, not only the typical banana. A bit light body but that only makes this more refreshing in my opinion.

Bottle shared with the in-laws. I like hefes... That’s all I have to say on that subject...

A fairly typical Hefe, a hazy orangish yellow body with a medium head and decent lacing. The aroma is a spicy citrus, almost nutmeg. Taste is slightly sweet, similar to the aroma; spicy citrus. Finishes fairly clean. Not bad.

500 ml bottle. Pours a foggy orange with a thick, creamy and very resilient white head. Tastes sweet, like bread, wheat and ripe pear. Bit of bitterness in the finish. Light bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Nice, but I may have been expecting too much from it?

Bottle. Pours with a mildly hazy golden hued body with a very large white head that leaves good retention and lace. The head has a fluffy texture. Moderate haze, no particles, good lace. Aromas are bready, lots of wheat malt character, lightly citrusy yeast nose, medium isoamyl acetate, moderate vanilla and bubblegum characters. Low yeast based phenols (clove is nearly absent), very light grassy character present. Malt character is strong and in nice balance with the yeast esters. Flavors show grainy/bready/wheat malt as the foreground character. Bready, wheaty, biscuity. Light lemony component. Medium banana esters, no hop character. Medium dry with lower than expected phenols. Bitterness is low with a malty balance. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a medium body, moderate carbonation (I was expecting a little bit stronger). Lingering bready warmth on the palate. Pretty good.

A classic German Hefeweizen with a very nice steady head. There is a lot of yeast in the bottle. The color is golden but quite dark for a "blond" German Hefeweizen. Aroma is slightly fruity (citrus), very yeasty, hay and grass. The taste is a little bit sweet but not sour or bitter. The beer fells very good on the gongue. It has a nice full body, is creamy and has a nice finish. Over all a very good German Hefeweizen!

500 mL bottle. Medium butterscotch, pleasantly cloudy, thick pristine white head, lacing galore. Coriander, lemon, fresh cut grass and yeast on the nose. Almost too easy to drink, a touch of sweetness, a little sour on the finish. Easy on the palate, nice clean mouth feel, lots of carbonation. Wheat beers tend to be hit or miss with me, this was a hit.

500ml bottle. Haze orange colour, so typical to good German whites, looks like an orange without the peel in my round glass. Big yellowish head, with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is hoppier than in any wheat I tried so far, yeast is also present, rye bread, coriander, citrus. Taste: first there is the hops bitterness, then the bread, astringent in the middle with a soft and balanced finish. Pleasant, but not the best.
