COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark in color, malty nose, generous flavor; yet with a clean, hoppy finish, Hacker-Pschorr Alt Munich Dark is the essence of dark beers.

Benzai (2292) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - NOV 3, 2011
Bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Shared with Thompson. Great dark brown color with a nice dark red glow coming through. Full sized off-white to beige head that diminishes quickly. Smell malts and very grainy with some wort. Taste malts, grains, lightly sweet hints. Nothing interesting here. Low to medium carbo, low to medium body.

EithCubes (3042) - GERMANY - OCT 6, 2011
Swing-top, by 03/12. Nose is lightly dusty and sweet with creeping toasted grains and a swirl of caramel. Ruby/brown pour with a hissing but rocky tan head. Taste is mildly bittersweet with a small measure of tart, brown sugar and dulled pitted fruit with low-level toffee and caramel, and good sticky Munich in the smacking medium body. Enough hopping to provide balance. A pleasure.
