“Munich Gold” closely resembles our Münchner Hell in terms of taste and mainly owes its popularity to a slightly higher original gravity and the malty note. The result is a full-bodied yet mild taste which delivers an increasingly bitter note before culminating into an aromatic finish. A real treat for true beer connoisseurs!

The types of barley grown in the Swabian Jura and in the Upper Palatinate Region of Bavaria are excellently suited for the production of this timeless classic.

Hacker-Pschorr has been brewing beer in the traditional Bavarian manner since 1417. The high-quality beers the brewery produces are all brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law and contain only water, malt and hops.

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Clear light amber, foamy 1" white head, blobs and swaths of lace. Really nice aroma of malt and floral hops. Taste is crisp light malt that moves through the palate easily, adding light hay and floral hops for a nicely balanced finish. An excellent, cleansing brew, great on a warm afternoon.

Leve e refrecante. Amarela e translúcida, apresentou média formação de espuma de pouca duração. No aroma e sabor boa presença de malte, notas de pão, fermento e pouco lúpulo. Final curto e maltado com pouco amargor.

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours clear light golden, moderate head, no lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and hay. Taste is very malty sweet with a little floral bitterness. Light bodied, lively carbonation, smooth mouth feel. Finishes slightly bitter with notes of grass, lemon, sweet pale malt and a touch of metal. One of the better German lagers I’ve tried.

500 ml bottle. Pale gold, perfectly clear, with a huge, creamy and persistent bright white head. Good lacing. On the nose dough, white bread, little graininess, some earthy/spicy hop notes. Starts moderately sweet, but you can feel a decent malty bitterness which become more prominent in the end. Again quite grainy and bready in the taste as well. Little metallic perception in the aftertaste. Average carbonation, light to medium body, creamy texture. Forgettable, but certainly refreshing and thirst quenching, if not miles better compared to a generic macro lager.

500ml bottle purchased at the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Clear golden in colour with a thin dissipating white head, very light lacing. Aroma is of cereal, grains, some grassy hops, toasted pale malts. Flavour is lightly sweet, a bit dirty, wheat and grass. Sweet mouthfeel, light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes fairly quick, a little thin. Basic but nothing really wrong with it, just a bit boring.
